Vox Lists Reasons Why the American Revolution was a “Mistake”

In a hilariously poor and a-historical “article,” Vox produced a piece titled “3 reasons the American Revolution was a mistake” in honor of Independence Day.

Apparently Vox is unaware that history might have been different if something as drastic as American Independence didn’t happen. Ah, but who cares! The internet loves lists, so Vox gave it a shot.
Here are reasons why the American Revolution was a “mistake:”

1. Abolition would have come faster without independence.

2. Independence was bad for Native Americans.

3. America would have a better system of government if we’d stuck with Britain.

This is the same website that claimed saying “you guys” to girls is like calling African Ameicans “negros.”
