The titled of the document is “Examples of Racial Microaggressions” and outlines types of “racist microaggressions,” examples of them, and what they are “actually” saying.
In the section “Color Blindness: Statements that indicate that a White person does not want to acknowledge race,” the quote, “America is a melting pot” is said to be racist. According to the document, whites try to force others to “assimilate/acculturate to the dominant culture” when they say that.
Under the “Myth of meritocracy: Statements which assert that race does not play a role in life successes” section, the statement “I believe the most qualified person should get the job” is deemed racist. According to Wisconsin, this is because it’s as if you are telling minorities, “People of color are given extra unfair benefits because of their race.”
Additionally, “Everyone can succeed in this society, if they work hard enough” is considered racist because it’s as if you’re telling minorities, “People of color are lazy and / or incompetent and need to work harder.”
The list also states that asking an Asian person what they think is racist. Oddly, the list also includes a section about what “black people” and what “Asian people” might act like and makes suggestions accordingly. Ironically, of course, this makes an assumption about what people of different races might do.

The state after all has taken for itself from society the power to define insanity and this position statement (also of the CA system) was issued by organs of the state (controlled mostly by Democrats it should be noted). These divisive positions and related sentiments are intended to be imposed on society. Not symptomatic of a period of prosperity. Perhaps six years of ZIRP essentially globally is not a harbinger of good times despite what the central planners and their media scolds keep telling us and we are in truth mired in depression and have been for some time. Also, the Democratic Party of the US has never not exploited divisions of people or the opportunity to divide them during times of hardship.

Nye is an idiot. Left wing pseudo-science claims that race is "merely a social construct." However, REAL scientists called Physical Anthropologists work with race every day and can correctly identify a person's race from a skeleton alone. Ask Nye how they can do that if race "doesn't exist."

ReplyDeleteI don't see what would be "micro" about the very hurtful and bigoted aggression of all the people who keep telling me "Anyone can succeed in this society, if he works hard enough" – in MY religion nothing is considered more offensive than working hard, since we regard hard work as highly sinful. (That's why we have no scripture – writing scripture will wear you out in two minutes. Hideous.)

MELT, why don't you!" Or "Melt, damn you, MELT!" – Was I being RACIST without even knowing it?

MY question to the U. of W. radicals is why are THEY so racist that they think only whites can succeed through hard work. There are thousands of examples of blacks pulling themselves out of poverty via hard work and/or entrepreneurship.
