Blake Simons, who wrote an article detailing his ideas, is the Deputy Comms Director of “Afrikan Black Coalition.” The name of his piece is “A New Constitution or the Bullet.”
Simons writes, “Our Black Lives Matter protests have stormed the country, yet cops continue to kill us daily, and the judicial system continues to justify our deaths with acquittals, non-indictments, and light sentences-all in the name of upholding the Constitution.”
After months of protesting, Simons explains that he came “to realize that the Constitution is the root of virtually all our problems in America.”
He continues, “The U.S. is a country that was founded on slavery, genocide, rape, and white male patriarchy. The colonizers that we condemn for enslaving Afikans and murdering indigenous peoples are the same people that produced and upheld the document we use to govern our nation to this day. Our bloodshed is rooted in this nation’s founding document, The Constitution.”
For this reason, there “must be a new constitution or the bullet.”

Simons then lays out his demands. “The United States has failed us; it is time we demand a new constitution or tell America that she will get the bullet,” he says. “White supremacy’s bullets are killing Black people every day. If America does not protect us, then it is our human right to defend ourselves by any means necessary. It is our human right to overthrow a government that has been destructive to our people. This is why we must rise up and let all people come together and write new constitution to serve ALL people.”
According to Simons, the example set by the Black Panthers must be followed. “The idea for a new constitution is not a new idea, rather an old one that was developed by the Black Panther Party,” he writes. “In 1970, the Black Panther Party organized a Revolutionary People’s Constitutional Convention, however, after infiltration by the illegal COINTELPRO the idea never came into fruition. We must pick up where the Black Panthers left off and declare a new constitution or it will be the bullet.”
He concludes his article with the warning, “If America fails to allow all people of this nation to write a new constitution, then it will be the bullet. Revolution is inevitable in a society that does not value the lives of all people.”
Simons helped organize and spoke at different Black Lives Matter rallies.

Since Alex Haley was able to trace his african "ROOTS", the majority of blacks that are of "Black African Slave Blood", perhaps a Foundation could be set up to help those who seek to know where they came from; offers should be made to all who care to to RETURN to their Native African Tribes based on a predetermined timeframe.
DeleteIt must be remembered that a GREAT MANY BLACK SLAVES were sold by Powerful Black Leaders in Africa as property, brought to America, and re-sold to BOTH Black AND White Slave owners. The long and bloody Civil War, in essence made ALL BLACK FREE, and many were unwilling or unable to take advantage of new-found freedom.
Today, all Black Citizens should make a COMMITTED decision to JOIN mainstream America or to Return to their Countries of Origin. America has made the decision to provide those OF ANY COLOR with a costly program to supply them with food, housing and opportunities to advance their lifestyles. To the naked eye, it appears that only those of Black Origin have by far and large not chosen to advance themselves in large numbers.
Those who have advance live them "American Dream"; those who appear to be unmotivated have burdened America and taken on ANTI-WHITE attitudes, when they REALLY have no one to blame but Freedom granted over a Century ago, and, yes, a portion of Whites who STILL do not see them as "Equals".
Should bullets fly over the current situation, blacks who do not comply with the Law of the Land will most certainly be vastly reduced in number. Those who COMPLY will be treated fairly; those who do not will CONTINUALLY pay the price of…CRIMINALS.
I dearly hope that regardless of upbringing and "street violence" that ALL people will use their God-given powers of reason to make choices to rise up into the American way of life.
When a person makes the black and white statement that ""A Constitution written by only white men will never serve the interests of Black people," he is telling us that he has changed the meaning of white and black into ones that are proxies for ideology. The key question must be what is "black"?

When Bill Maher, during a panel discussion on HBO complains that Obama’s policies are “half-assed” “because he’s only half black.” and that “if he was fully black, I’m telling you, he would be a better president.”, and that “there’s a white man in him holding him back”, than what is “black”? For that matter, then what is "white"?
References to race, racism and especially to “black”, in all these contexts, is clearly not about “race”. It is about ideology, socialist ideology. The problem is not how black all these people may be, but how RED. With that in mind, to a person who equates "black" with socialist, then "racism" and "racist" is only about people who reject socialism and socialists.

ReplyDeleteTo me it sounds as if he is the one being racist. It isn't our fault that they decide to drop out of school to gang bang and be violent. Look at all the successful black men and woman there are in America, and at least half if not more came from poverty so that isn't an excuse for any black white Hispanic ect to make the desicion to do wrong instead of good. It is YOUR choice, if you weren't doing violent acts then the police wouldn't bother you this group is nothing more than the pathetic black Ku Klux Klan this is most definitely a terrorist threat that should be taken seriously especially when they are bringing up the black panther group. God created us different to challenge us to love each other despite our outer looks, to look beyond color race sexuality and physical disabilities, love is power not violence! In fact I think it would a blessing for the United States and a relief for many agencies that are burdened by those who refuse to be educated or choose crime as their choice of lifestyle..
